In his new book, Thoughts on Community Calling and the Mystery of Making, author Robert Pinsky explores the importance of community and the transformative power of making. Pinsky argues that making is not just a hobby or a way to pass the time, but rather a way of connecting with our communities and with ourselves.

Through a series of personal essays and reflections, Pinsky explores the ways in which making can help us to find our purpose, build relationships, and create a more just and sustainable world. He writes about the importance of making things with our hands, from simple crafts to works of art, and he argues that the act of making can help us to connect with our creativity, our communities, and our own sense of purpose.

Pinsky also explores the role of community in the making process. He argues that making is not just a solitary activity, but rather a social one. He writes about the importance of sharing our work with others, and he argues that the act of making can help us to build relationships and create a more just and sustainable world.

Thoughts on Community Calling and the Mystery of Making is a thought-provoking and inspiring book that explores the importance of creative expression in our lives. Pinsky's writing is clear and engaging, and he provides a wealth of examples of how making can make a difference in the world. Whether you are a lifelong maker or you are just starting to explore your creativity, I highly recommend this book.
