Not only will this craft provide hours of entertainment for your little ones, but it will also teach them basic Korean phrases and introduce them to Korean culture in a playful and engaging way.

Materials You'll Need:

  • Cardstock (in various colors)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons
  • Korean-themed stickers (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Create the Pop-Up Card Base

Start by folding a sheet of cardstock in half. This will be the base of your pop-up card.

Step 2: Design the Card Front

On the front of the card, decorate it with Korean-inspired designs. You can use markers or crayons to draw traditional Korean symbols like the 태극기 (Korean flag),or you can use Korean-themed stickers.

Step 3: Create the Pop-Up Element

Cut out a rectangular piece of cardstock that is slightly smaller than the card base. This will be the pop-up element.

Fold the pop-up element in half lengthwise. Then, on one half of the element, draw or write a Korean phrase or word. For example, you could write "안녕하세요" (hello) or "감사합니다" (thank you).

Step 4: Assemble the Pop-Up Card

Apply glue to the bottom edge of the pop-up element and attach it to the inside of the card base. Make sure the folded edge of the pop-up element is facing the spine of the card.

Step 5: Decorate the Card Interior

Once the pop-up element is attached, decorate the interior of the card as desired. You can draw or write additional Korean phrases or words, or you can add Korean-themed stickers.

Step 6: Finish the Card

Close the card and admire your finished masterpiece! Your kids can now open and close the card to see the pop-up element featuring the Korean phrase or word.
