A Gripping Memoir By Bernard Kerik
Bernard Kerik's memoir, My Life Serving America And Protecting Its Empire City, is a fascinating and revealing look into the life and career of one of New York City's most controversial police commissioners. Kerik served as commissioner under Mayor Rudy Giuliani from 2000 to 2001, and he played a key role in the city's response to the September 11 attacks.
In his book, Kerik provides a firsthand account of his life and career, from his early days as a police officer to his time as commissioner. He also discusses his controversial departure from the NYPD, which was marred by allegations of corruption and ethical misconduct.
Kerik's memoir is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of the NYPD, the September 11 attacks, or the life and career of Bernard Kerik himself. The book is also a fascinating read for anyone interested in the human side of law enforcement.
