Quashi takes readers on a lyrical journey through the landscapes of American poetry, from the Puritan settlements of New England to the antebellum plantations of the South, from the frontier towns of the West to the urban centers of the East. He examines how poets have used landscape to express their personal experiences, their political beliefs, and their spiritual longings. He also explores how the land has been a source of inspiration for poets, from the natural beauty of the Hudson River Valley to the industrial landscapes of the Rust Belt.
